Project Type: Japanese Restaurant
Client: DARUMA Japanese Restaurant
Location: Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak Province, Vietnam
Completion: 2026
DARUMA Japanese Restaurant was designed to bring an authentic Japanese dining experience to Buon Ma Thuot, offering guests not only high-quality cuisine but also an immersive cultural atmosphere. The project aims to create a warm and memorable destination where contemporary design meets the timeless aesthetics of traditional Japanese architecture.
Inspired by the ambiance of a traditional Japanese Izakaya, the interior combines natural materials with modern design elements to create a welcoming and sophisticated environment. Warm timber finishes, paper lanterns, a Torii gate, cherry blossom trees, and an illuminated sake display wall work together to establish a distinctive Japanese identity. A sculptural ceiling installation made from natural wood branches further enhances the spatial character and serves as a unique architectural feature.
The restaurant is thoughtfully organized into functional zones, including the main dining area, sushi counter, bar seating, semi-private booths, and waiting area. The layout provides clear circulation, comfortable seating arrangements, and efficient operational flow, ensuring an enjoyable dining experience while supporting smooth restaurant service.
To enhance the overall customer experience, the design incorporates visually engaging focal points such as the cherry blossom feature and the illuminated sake display, creating memorable photo opportunities and strengthening the restaurant's brand identity. Through the careful integration of materials, lighting, and spatial composition, DARUMA Japanese Restaurant offers a contemporary dining environment that reflects the elegance and hospitality of Japanese culture.
